Miranda Woodey (she/her/hers)

Creating art has always been a way of finding purpose and bringing healing to myself and others in my life. I find meaning through colorful brushstrokes on a canvas, images through a lens, materials glued and stapled together, and digitally created imagery. I create these works as a way to make sense of the world and my experiences. Difficult and tragic moments in my life inspire me to craft stories that fuel my artwork. These stories take the form of storybook-styled landscapes, complex still lives, and intimate glimpses into my daily life and the pain that I carry with me wherever I go.

Although my work is primarily about that pain, it brings me a sense of fulfillment and meaning in my life and allows me to find a sense of purpose among all of the trials I have fought, and continue to fight, my way through.
